The Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW is Committed to Teaching and Serving

South Dakota-based dental assistant Brooke Kuecker maintains strong ties to her community. In addition to her membership and service to her church, Brooke Kuecker remains a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

Since its inception nearly 100 years ago, the Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW remains dedicated to serving both veterans of the United States and the communities in which they live. Members of the Ladies Auxiliary include wives, widows, mothers, sisters, daughters, and granddaughters of eligible veterans who are at least 16 years old.

The organization offers multiple programs, including those that promote Americanism and patriotism. Programs like these focus on American heritage, as well as the proper care standards for the United States flag. In addition, the Ladies Auxiliary hosts a variety of programs for youths and junior girls, which involve activities such as the creation of care packages for overseas soldiers, volunteer work in hospitals, and fundraising for cancer research.
